Celebrating the Music of African-American Composers

Singing for a lifetime

We believe that singing is a healthy activity and benefits a person’s well-being. It is well-documented that singing in a chorus offers benefits that mutually help both individuals and communities .

 

Starting in 2023,  former students from the award-winning, Concert Choir of Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School will reunite formally and informally to perform spiritual, classical & gospel arrangements from throughout the years.

The African American Sacred Music Festival

Are you a former member of the Orangeburg-Wilkinson Choral Department? Your voice played an integral role in shaping the musical heritage of Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School, and we invite you to reunite with fellow alumni as we revive the African American Sacred Music Festival — a cherished signature program of our alma mater's choral legacy.

The OW Alumni Choir rehearsals will be Fri., March 22nd at 6pm and Sat., March 23rd at 10am-2pm. Both rehearsals will be at Edisto Fork United Methodist Church.

 

Register now to take part of this event and help us create harmony and memories that will resonate for years to come.
